Jose Mourinho already knows what it's like to defeat Deportivo Coruña although he has yet to do so as coach of Real Madrid. The Portuguese boss was managing Porto, who eliminated Sunday's opponent from the 2003/04 Champions League en route to the club's first European Cup.
Deportivo were fresh off eliminating Milan before their semifinal tie against Porto. The first leg finished 0-0, but the second ended in a 0-1 victory for the Portuguese side, goal courtesy of Derlei. Porto went on to defeat Monaco 3-0 in Gelsenkirchen.
