Mourinho: "My team came through in what was a tough game"
Jose Mourinho offered his thoughts on Real Madrid's victory at Auxerre following the match.
"It was a good match all-in-all. It was tough playing a well-organized adversary fell back to defend and that created a lot of danger on the counterattack. It wasn't easy because we wanted to control the match as well as defend against the counter. Winning this match and earning our sixth point are all that count.""The team came through in a very difficult game. We were put through two tough moments on defense; the first in the first half and another in the second. We didn't create as many chances as we have been, but we moved the ball well. We sought other solutions in the second half."
"I spoke to Ozil before subbing him in in order to explain what I wanted once he was on the pitch. It was a pre-planned change. Perhaps their was a communication issue because of the language difference and maybe he didn't understand very well."
